Wyrley Rose Care Home are seeking a dedicated and efficient Laundry Attendant to join their team in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is vital in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of our care home, contributing to an exceptional resident experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items as needed.
• A positive attitude and commitment to providing high-quality service.

• Operate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Provide excellent service by responding promptly to requests from other departments regarding laundry needs.
