Job Description To sort soiled guestroom linen as required and fill containers, label and make ready for pick-up To sort/count soiled linen (Food & Beverage) and fill in containers, label and make ready for pick-up Set aside misused linen for further investigation Report any articles found within the linen/chute area eg. glass, food, cutlery, needles Keep own working area constantly clean and tidy during day and end of shift Wear as advised mask, gloves for Health and Safety reasons Fold and pile clean towels, bathrobes for floor porters/housemen to pick-up and deliver Set aside and report any damaged or marked linen Roll into linen room all containers with clean linen ready for distribution If and when required to wash towels, to observe all points handling chemicals, lifting towels as trained. If and when required to wear goggles/gloves/mask accordingly to the Health and Safety training. Helps out on other duties deemed necessary within linen/laundry area Report to Supervisor any equipment malfunctioning, or anything which may be a Health & Safety hazard Attend any training courses given by Housekeeping/Human Resources Department To make sure all Health and Safety matters are observed Any other work deemed necessary by the Head of Department Qualifications High School diploma, vocational training and/or 1 year work experience Fluency in ***local language*** essential Basic understanding of the English language desirable Ability to lift/carry requirements up to 25 lbs.
