EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s work experience in cleaning and/or housekeeping and hospitality industry is preferred. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.

Physical/Cognitive activities

  • Most of the time is spent walking and being on your feet.
  • This is a physically laborious role
Responsibilities
  • Be dependable and prompt, arriving on time and ready to work in a clean uniform and a nametag
  • Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers following all safety practices.
  • Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, and folding arms provided
  • Inspect linen on a regular basis for tears, holes or sub-standard conditions and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper
  • Notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, damaged linens, to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level.
  • Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Empty lint traps after each load to ensure safety of equipment and building.
  • Follow all hazardous chemical procedures.
  • Assist in daily refill of clean linens, amenities and supplies in stock rooms on each floor
  • Assists department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and employees.
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner always.
  • All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
