WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As a Laundry Attendant (Washer), you are responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel. You will perform all stages of linen processing including; collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering. You will also maintain laundry machinery and laundry area, count and record laundry statistics for laundry inventories.

You will also be required to manage and respond to guest requests. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Collecting guest linen into laundry bins and transport cart to laundry area
• Transporting empty bins from Laundry to chute area
• Ensuring the Laundry area is clean, neat and organized
• Washing guest linens
• Reporting maintenance and hazard issues
• Complying with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
