Description SUMMARY This position is responsible for the overall operation of the laundry facility and will insure that there is an adequate supply of linens washed and folded in order to meet the supply demand of the hotel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: · Reports any maintenance issues to supervisory staff. · Receives work assignments and schedules from housekeeping supervisor and staff. · The Laundry Attendant is also responsible for maintaining the linen inventory by keeping the discards to a minimum. · Maintain the chemical stock for housekeeping and laundry. · Help with the monthly linen inventory process. · Maintain break room and/or public areas as needed. · Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed (i.e., guest room cleaning, etc.). · Packs Housekeeping carts with supplies for Room Attendants. · When needed, sorts, washes, cleans guest laundry and dry cleans hotel linen. · Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more, and push carts weighing up to 200 lbs. · Ability to stand for long periods of time. · Other duties may be assigned.
