• Receives, checks and delivers guest laundry with attention to detail.
• Carries out sorting, cleaning, ironing and packaging of guest laundry.
• Undertakes regular deep cleaning duties of the Laundry and storages
• Receives, checks and implements the staff uniforms into the uniform system
• Ensures all laundry & lingerie machines and equipment are used correctly and in accordance with the local regulations.
• Ensure the laundry area is clean and all machinery is well maintained.
• Carries out sewing and embroidery work.
• In charge of ad-hoc cleaning duties, such as F&B linen, bath linen and bed linen.
• Comply to the hygiene and safety standards of Mandarin Oriental.
• Aligns with the FLHSS requirements and fills out all needed reports on a daily basis.
• Supports the Laundry Manager in Uniform Inventories.
• Provides training for new starters, apprentices and trainees.
• Reports technical defects and missing items.
• Forwards lost & found items to the housekeeping office.
• Handles all guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Collects guest preferences.
• Actively reviews processes and voices ideas and suggestions.
• Supports other areas of the housekeeping team in peak times.
• Completes department relevant administrative tasks.
• Other reasonable tasks may be assigned by the direct manager or a senior manager on duty.
