Description Essential Functions: **Attention to detail- a must** · Wash and dry residents clothing, towels, and linens on a daily basis · Fill linen closets and bathers daily · Strip beds and create “bed sets” daily · Pick up and deliver residents clothing based on floor schedule · Clean and maintain laundry room and dryer lint traps daily · Work well with residents and staff · Comply with The Village at Orchard Ridge policies and procedures · Other duties as assigned HOURS: Wednesday-Sunday 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm Starting at $17/hr Plus additional $2/hr on Saturday & Sunday Requirements Minimum Eligibility Requirements: · Basic knowledge commercial washers and dryers · Basic knowledge of the proper way to clean linens · Basic housecleaning knowledge · Must be able to pass criminal and drug background tests as required by Bureau of Licensing and The Village at Orchard Ridge policies · Must be able to work respectfully and compassionately with older adults Training: · Attend all required in-service training Working Conditions (travel, hours, and environment): · Ability to work full time on dedicated schedule Physical/Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): · Medium work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects · Long periods of standing and walking with occasional sitting · Frequent bending, stooping, squatting and reaching · Occasional twisting and kneeling Compensation: · Compensation DOE. Responsibilities
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing and drying residents' clothing, towels, and linens daily, as well as maintaining the laundry room. Additional duties include filling linen closets and delivering residents' clothing according to a schedule.
