PURPOSE As a Laundry Attendant at Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel, you will be a key player in our laundry operations, ensuring that all linens, towels, and uniforms are processed in a timely and efficient manner. Your role supports the seamless operations of our hotel and casino, contributing to an excellent guest experience by providing clean and fresh textiles throughout their stay. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Laundry Processing: Operate washing machines and dryers to clean hotel linens, towels, and uniforms. Ensure that all items are laundered and pressed according to established standards. Quality Control: Inspect textiles for damages and stains, treating areas that require extra attention to ensure items are guest-ready. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of items laundered and report inventory needs to the Laundry Supervisor. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Efficiency Improvement: Assist in evaluating processes and suggest improvements to increase the efficiency of the laundry operations. Team Support: Collaborate with the laundry and housekeeping team members to ensure a smooth flow of linens and uniforms throughout the casino and hotel. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel staff, such as rooms and house personnel and other laundry attendants, to ensure timely turnover of rooms. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English. Familiarity with industrial washing and drying machines. Understanding of cleaning chemicals and proper handling techniques. Skills and Abilities: Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure all textiles meet quality standards. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting as part of daily tasks. Teamwork Skills: Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Reliability: Demonstrates reliability and punctuality in a fast-paced work environment. Problem Solving: Quick to address and resolve issues with machinery or textile quality as they arise. PREFERRED Education and Experience: Previous laundry or dry-cleaning experience. Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
