Position Overview
We are looking for a full-time/permanent laundry supervisor, under the supervision of the Laundry Manager. The Laundry Supervisor will help oversee our laundry operations for the Canmore and Banff areas. They will help ensure that all properties have linens and towels to ensure rooms can be turned over daily.
Location: Canmore
Shifts: Full-time, permanent
Wage: $20.50-21.50/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, support and motivation for the team to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping Supervisors and Hotel Managers to ensure inventory for the hotels are properly stocked.
  • Responsible for all linen and towel laundering and accurate inventory.
  • Assist with driving the clean linens to the various hotels in Canmore and Banff and pick up the linens needing washing.
  • Ensure that time is directed at stained and reclaim inventories. Helping to extend the life of the products.
  • Remove and record damaged product each week and report to the Laundry Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry room.
  • Wash and clean all linen bags and bins.
  • Wash, sort, dry, and fold linens and towels in an efficient and organized manner to best support the needs of the hotels.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Ensure laundry chemicals are stocked up and are dispensing correctly throughout each shift.
  • Report to the Laundry Manager if any machines are not working properly.
  • Report to the Laundry Manager of any shortage in linen inventories.
  • Assist with stripping linens when necessary.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in sorting, washing, drying, folding.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous in ensuring garments are stain-free and neatly folded.
  • Skilled at multitasking, managing loads, and completing tasks promptly while maintaining high quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Clean drivers abstract with at least 3 years of driving experience with a Canadian licence.
  • Previous laundry or cleaning experience an asset.
  • Able to handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
