JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall quality of service in our Retirement Home.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a Retirement Home/hotel setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality service.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina; must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  Laundry Duties
  · Putting in large loads into large washers and dryers
  · Folding large sheets/towels/etc.
  · Folding residents clothes
  · Keeping work area clan and tidy
  · Cleaning lint vents
  · Sweeping/mopping as needed
  · Other duties as required

Pay: From $18.06 per hour

• Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder linens, towels
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
• Inspect items for stains or damages before and after laundering, ensuring quality control.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including proper storage of clean linens.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and notifying management when restocking is needed.
