Drivers need to cover the areas surrounding Washington DC through Baltimore Maryland and Northern Virginia.
Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages with a friendly and professional attitude- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documentation- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks
Requirements:- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading cargo- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries- Familiarity with local roads and routes in the area- Strong communication skills to interact with customers in a professional manner- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Skills:- Experience in heavy lifting and moving items safely- Knowledge of courier procedures and best practices for efficient delivery operations- Familiarity with driving truck vans.- Proficiency in commercial driving techniques.
