Job Description Laundry Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of the laundry facility, including sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, and storing of linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure the quality of laundered items, conducting regular inspections to identify and address any issues or discrepancies. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of linen, uniforms, and other laundry supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure an adequate stock is maintained. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate and ensure proper maintenance and repair of laundry equipment, such as washing machines, dryers, presses, and steamers, promptly reporting any malfunctions or repairs needed. Staff Supervision: Lead and supervise the laundry team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement efficient laundry processes and procedures, ensuring an organized workflow and timely completion of laundry tasks. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals, adherence to fire safety protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment. Cost Control: Monitor laundry-related expenses, such as water, electricity, detergents, and equipment maintenance costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Environmental Sustainability: Promote environmentally friendly laundry practices, such as water and energy conservation, proper waste management, and the use of eco-friendly laundry products. Guest Service Support: Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Front Office, to ensure a seamless and timely delivery of clean and well-pressed linens and uniforms to meet guest needs. Qualifications A certificate or diploma in hospitality is required. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity Strong managerial and administrative skills. Proficiency in MS Office and Opera is an advantage. Excellent command of English. Customer-oriented and with good interpersonal skills.
