About the role: Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper ,as the Laundry Room Attendant, you are at the forefront of creating and executing memorable experiences for our guests by giving the ‘wow’ factor. It’s the moment that guests walk into the hotel and receive a great first impression, then enter their bedrooms and think, ‘wow this looks Wonderful’ N Spotless.
You will be working in a closely knit team where a “Yes And Do” attitude and ensemble-orientation is an absolute must. As a Remarkable Laundry Room Attendant, you know that cleanliness and comfort are the most important things we can offer our guests.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ideal Laundry Room Attendant will have at least 1-2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping
  • Flexibility to work in weekends (This is a pre-requisite for this job)
  • Spidey sense for stains and tears. An eagle eye for details
  • Standing/walking for extended periods; ability to sit, crouch, twist, reach, bend and lift upto 35lbs occasionally
  • Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, crouching, reaching overhead, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests and supervisors

Responsibilities
  • Your day starts with a HK coffee team meet- Your manager will provide with your assignments, guest feedback will be shared, any VIP arrivals/guest requests will be shared with you
  • Clean and sanitize all linens as per company cleanliness standards
  • Inspect soiled laundry for stains/tears before washing; treat and repair promptly
  • Ensure storage and supply areas are clean, organized and locked at all times
  • Ensure all linen supplies are available for room attendants
  • Remove soiled linen from carts, process accordingly
  • Inspect washed and dried linens for hair/lint and wrinkles; treat as appropriate
  • Prepare and fold towels/linens according to brand and company standards
  • Report any and all laundry area deficiencies, including heavily soiled linens and malfunctioning equipment, following the work order process
  • Advise Management of supplies and linen shortages
  • Act as back up guest room attendant during vacation or low occupancy periods
  • Be knowledgeable of policies regarding emergency procedures, safety, security rules and procedures
  • Ensure protection of guests’ room numbers and policies regarding guest room access procedures
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper
