Description Community Eldercare Services (CES) is looking for a Laundry Tech to join our growing team! Weekend shift- Friday through Sundays Laundry Technician duties include but are not limited to: Wash, dry, sort, and fold facility linens and residents’ clothing according to proper sanitation procedures Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and other related machines safely and effectively Sort laundry by type, color, and resident identification to ensure items are returned correctly Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all time Monitor laundry supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained Pre-treat or soak contaminated items according to infection control procedures Follow established laundry schedules and coordinate services with other departments Assist with minor mending of linens or clothing when necessary Maintain accurate counts of linens and clothing items as required Follow infection control, universal precautions, and safety procedures at all times Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals and cleaning agents Report hazards, equipment issues, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately Participate in orientation, required training, and staff meetings Maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors Perform other duties as assigned Benefits include but are not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401K Pet insurance Competitive pay Career advancement opportunities Educational opportunities Requirements Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift, move, and handle laundry loads as required Must maintain regular attendance and comply with health and safety regulations No prior experience required – training provided Our mission is to reconnect people to life through individuals serving individuals.
