Description
SERVPRO of Tupelo is seeking an experienced Laundry / Textile Technician to join our restoration team. This position is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and caring for customers’ textiles and garments affected by fire, water, smoke, or mold damage. The ideal candidate has prior hands-on experience in laundry or textile care and takes pride in delivering high-quality results while treating customer belongings with respect. Key Responsibilities Clean, dry, and finish garments, linens, and specialty textiles using commercial laundry equipment Identify fabric types and apply proper cleaning, stain removal, and deodorization techniques Handle fire-, water-, and smoke-damaged textiles according to SERVPRO standards Accurately tag, inventory, package, and prepare items for customer return Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the textile processing area Follow SERVPRO procedures, safety guidelines, and quality control standards Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding item condition or special handling needs Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience in laundry, dry cleaning, textile care, or a related field Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to follow established processes and instructions Dependable, professional, and customer-focused Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial laundry equipment Knowledge of fabric types, stain treatment, and odor removal Restoration or contents cleaning experience (fire/water damage) is a plus What SERVPRO Offers Competitive pay based on experience Stable, full-time employment Ongoing training and development Opportunities for advancement within SERVPRO Team-oriented and supportive work environment Schedule Full-time, Monday–Friday Overtime may be available during high-demand periods
