We are accepting applications for this "extended" position through 5/11 @ 9am Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Simplex is required. This is an on-site, long term job. You must be located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem. Location: Los Angeles, CA Number of positions: 2 Type: Direct Hire Salary Range: $131K - $147K Minimum Requirements Two (2) years full-time paid professional experience in construction estimating of facilities or School Construction. Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs Experience in developing and estimating the scope of work for change orders Ability to compare the independent cost estimate with contractor proposal to identify differences Ability to develop scope of work based on RFI/RFC answers and estimates the detailed costs of those scopes of work independent of the contractor proposal Good oral and written communication skills Fact-find and in-depth skills Required Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, engineering, or construction management Compensation: The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors such as individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Responsibilities

The Junior Project Cost Estimator will develop and estimate scopes of work for change orders and compare independent cost estimates against contractor proposals. They are responsible for identifying cost differences and managing detailed cost estimations based on RFI and RFC documentation.
