This position is casual, and up to 12 hours per shift. Shifts may occur weekly or bi-weekly dependent on need. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be comfortable working in extreme conditions: the presence of blood, working in hot and cold temperatures
    · Must be able to read English at a proficient level.
    · Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
    · Must be physically fit for heavy lifting, reaching and standing for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

· Attend weekly/biweekly lavage trips for the collection of raw material.
· To learn and perform the three positions of the lavage operations (Trachea cutting, trachea tube insertions and trachea tube removal)
· To learn and perform the three positions of the loading and unloading equipment operations (Truck load/unloader, hoist operator and equipment retrieval)
· To follow and adhere to all safety regulations and instructions from trainers and floor managers.
