Under the general supervision of the Manager & Counsel, the Law Clerk is responsible for the end-to-end processing of garnishments, levies, and other similar third-party legal orders and providing other administrative support as required. The Law Clerk will be responsible for: Intake, processing and responding to garnishments, levies, asset freezes, restraining notices and information subpoenas and similar legal orders as required. Ensuring that responses and actions related to garnishments, levies, and similar third-party legal orders comply with relevant federal and state laws. Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable federal and state laws, and policies and procedures related to the processing of legal orders. Navigating multiple systems and platforms and adapting to new technologies. Providing administrative support to the legal order processing team as required. Following escalation criteria for third party legal orders to the supervisor when required. Performing other work-related duties as required. Supporting projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree. Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong research and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a legal assistant in a law firm or in-house legal department role preferred. Prior experience with processing levies, garnishments, and other legal orders. Sense of urgency and ability to discern critical matters. Manage workload to ensure that court or agency-imposed deadlines are met and responses are complete and accurate. Able to quickly train on, navigate, and extract information and perform actions on a variety of databases and information platforms. Comfortable with learning new processes and using technology tools. Ability to use good judgment in decision making. Able to work under pressure while requiring minimal supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Salary Range: $20.00 to $35.82 hourly + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected hourly pay range for this job requisition.
