Piper Alderman is looking for a number of ambitious and hard-working penultimate and final year law students to join our seasonal clerkship programs. As a seasonal clerk, you will participate in one of the firm’s annual intakes: * Summer 1 clerkship program: November/December 2026 * Summer 2 clerkship program: January/February 2027 You must be available full time for the duration of each program. As a law clerk you will be given the opportunity to do real legal work from the get-go, in a supportive and collaborative learning environment which encourages you to balance and blend your university commitments with work experience. We aim to build a strong pipeline of rising talent and as a result, we look to recruit our graduate lawyers from our clerkship program. When you join us for a seasonal clerkship, you will see the opportunity to immerse yourself in interesting, thought-provoking tasks such as legal research for current matters, drafting correspondence and legal documents, attendance and note taking at client meetings, gathering and analysing case facts and collating documents for counsel briefing and court hearings. About you * Demonstrated academic excellence throughout your tertiary studies * Thorough research skills and excellent attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft basic correspondence * An ability to demonstrate initiative and take a proactive approach to solving problems and building relationships * An ability to digest instructions quickly and quality produce results * Please note that you must be in your penultimate or final year of your law degree to be eligible for this role About Us Piper Alderman is a full-service, national, commercial law firm with offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
