Who we are looking for. We are seeking a driven, caring, curious, and hardworking Law Clerk to our growing legal team. This person will be motivated by helping injured clients and eager to take on real responsibility while developing a strong foundation in personal injury law through close collaboration with experienced attorneys. In general, candidates should minimally have the following qualifications: Completion of at least one year at an accredited law school as of May 2026. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Strong technology and organizational skills with a willingness to learn new systems and processes. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated compassion, self-direction, team orientation, and ability to maintain composure under pressure. What you will actually do. Law Clerks at Richmond Vona receive hands-on experience with real cases and meaningful responsibility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Legal research and drafting of memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials. Assisting attorneys with case strategy development and issue spotting. Reviewing and summarizing medical records, accident reports, and deposition transcripts. Participating in client case preparation and litigation support. Supporting trial preparation and settlement evaluation. Working directly with attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on active matters. Gaining exposure to client communication and the full lifecycle of a personal injury case. As trust and skill grow, so does responsibility. We believe in teaching by doing, with close attorney mentorship and feedback throughout the experience. What we offer you that’s different. Duration: May 2026-August 2026, with the potential for a longer commitment if the fit is right. Work hours: Work hours are reasonable and balanced. During the summer, the schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. If the position continues into the academic year, scheduling will be flexible to accommodate the candidate’s law school schedule. School always comes first. Location: Our office is located in a newly renovated downtown space with free onsite parking. Compensation: Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with discretionary bonuses tied to performance and firm profitability.
