Description

Law Clerk
Slater and Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm where every member of our team has a shared passion for our clients: we are people caring for people.
Our commitment to our people includes offering genuine work-life balance, with a hybrid work environment allowing them to split their time between home and the office. We recognise and reward high performance and have outstanding employee benefits including a week of shutdown leave, paid parental leave, extra-long service leave, together with various ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our National Abuse team is growing, and we are now seeking a Law Clerk to join our NSW practice in Sydney. As a valued member of this team, you will help support our Lawyers as they advance civil claims on behalf of our clients who have been abused as children in schools, juvenile detention facilities, and in other institutional settings.

This is a part time opportunity (4 days a week) and this role will offer flexible work arrangements, a 1:1 working partnership supporting a lawyer within a very busy practice. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work. In this role you will assist the team in managing and progressing abuse law matters, as you review reports and files and prepare draft legal correspondence. Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Review, analyse and summarise documentation
  • Preparing legal correspondence, court documents and briefs when required
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations
  • Working closely with the legal teams to advance legal matters for clients
