WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic and driven law students to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist practice area while developing your technical and commercial skills.

To be considered for this role, you will be/have:

  • A law student graduating in 2026 or later
  • Availability to work two consecutive days per week, commencing within the next two months
  • Achieved strong academic results
  • Highly refined analytical and research skills
  • Motivated, commercially astute and a team player who learns quickly
  • A genuine interest in tax law, with a view to developing expertise in this area

Responsibilities

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

A law clerk role with Cowell Clarke offers comprehensive training, with the aim of supporting undergraduates to ultimately become commercial solicitors with a strong specialisation in tax and revenue law.

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Legal research
  • Reviewing, analysing and summarising documentation
  • Drafting legal correspondence and advice
  • Attending client meetings and video conferences
  • Collaborating with the team on technical issues
  • Attending networking events
