Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a 2-year contract within our Wills & Estates practice. You will manage all aspects of estate planning and administration, working directly with clients and external partners. The role requires strong organization, adaptability, and client service skills to handle a high volume of files and inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, draft, and revise legal documents and correspondence, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and estate administration documentation
  • Review and finalize estate planning documents and reporting documentation under lawyer supervision
  • Assist with estate administration, including probate filings, asset identification, releases, and Trust Ledger Statements
  • Communicate with clients to schedule meetings, provide updates, and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaise with banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and other organizations to gather required information
  • Maintain accurate client records and case files, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Initiate and follow up on outstanding actions to support client and file progress
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Support the team by assisting with special projects, overflow work, and other duties as assigned
