What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be the trusted adult on the crew, making sure both the work and the youth succeed: Driving crew members to and from job sites Transporting mowers, trimmers, and equipment Training teens on how to safely use lawn equipment Helping assign mowing, trimming, and weeding duties Doing light maintenance and basic equipment fixes Making sure safety rules are always followed Communicating with customers when needed Modeling strong work habits, teamwork, and professionalism You’ll jump in and mow alongside the crew to show them how it is done and when needed! Who We’re Looking For This role is perfect for someone who: Is 25 or older Has experience using gas-powered lawn equipment Enjoys working with teens and being a positive role model Has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Is patient, dependable, and steady under pressure Can pass a background check and reference check Retirees, tradespeople, landscapers, and hands-on problem solvers are especially encouraged to apply! Seasonal, Part-Time Schedule (April-October) You’ll work more during peak mowing season and less during the spring and fall, perfect for someone who wants structure without full-time hours. April & May: Mon/Wed/Fri 2:30–7:30 pm Sat 9 am–5 pm | Sun as needed May - August: Monday–Friday 7 am–2pm August – October: Mon/Wed/Fri 2:30–7:30 pm Sat 9 am–5 pm | Sun as needed
Responsibilities
The supervisor will lead a team of high-school students, ensuring both the work quality and the youth's development by driving crews, transporting equipment, and assigning daily tasks like mowing, trimming, and weeding. Responsibilities also include training teens on safe equipment use, performing light maintenance, modeling professionalism, and occasionally mowing alongside the crew.
