Our Lawn Care Technicians are responsible for providing services on our customers lawns and outdoor spaces. They will primarily perform services which range from fertilizing, apply weed control, aerating, pest control and dethatching. In this role the technician will be required to drive a company vehicle to complete daily routes of specialized services, complete daily paperwork and communicate affectively with our customers and staff. Technicians will be required to operate independently and as part of a team for some duties to ensure a high level of quality. Meeting the standards that our company strives for, and our customers expect.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s licence (full G preferred) and a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A positive attitude and ‘can-do’ work ethic.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers.
  • Be punctual, have good time management and organization skills, and an ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in order to read, interpret, and apply technical, safety, customer service and sales documentation, information, processes, and procedures.
  • Walk 10 to 20 km per day.
  • Frequently move or lift 25 pounds and periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Be working 40 hrs a week with the flexibility to work extra hours as required as scheduled.
    Previous experience in lawn care an asset but not required
    Company uniforms are supplied.
    A very competitive wage $600 - $700 a week, plus performance bonuses if you reach production quotas.

    Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week

Responsibilities

Your duties will include, and not be limited to:

  • Operate a company vehicle, and service designated customers each day.
  • Apply our professional grade turf care products in compliance with technical and safety specifications.
  • Perform services which can include fertilizing, spraying liquids, aerating, seeding, and other lawn care services.
  • Interact with customers each day to help educate, inform, and quote services and horticultural practices for beautiful lawns and to solve lawn problems.
  • Inspect lawns to provide detailed notes and recommendations to our customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and always maintain a professional attitude.
  • Communicate with office staff to provide excellent service to our customers.
  • Complete daily production and service reports using our systems.
  • Manage Time effectively to complete tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
  • Ensure the equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
  • If needed assist as a lawn cutting technician to preform services on customer lawns or other similar service-related jobs as deemed by management
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear
  • Cleaning of trucks and/or yard and sheds
  • Trips to the dump/recycling centre.
