At Lawn Doctor of Clermont – Windermere – Southwest Orlando, our technicians are trusted advisors. Homeowners rely on us not just to apply products, but to identify issues, explain solutions, and consistently improve the property over time. This is year-round, full-time work with structured training and a clear path for growth. Minimum Requirements To Apply Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent\ Must be 21+ years old (insurance requirement)\ Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major violations or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years) Screening: Criminal & motor vehicle background review The Right Candidate Is Weather-Ready: Comfortable working outdoors in Florida heat, humidity, and occasional rain Proud: Takes satisfaction in visible results and well-maintained properties Customer-Focused: Enjoys engaging with homeowners and helping them reach their goals Reliable: Shows up on time, prepared, and accountable Hard Working: Maintains pace and productivity throughout the day Self-Directed: Able to manage a route and make decisions independently Capable: Able to lift 50 lbs, work overhead, climb on/off trucks, operate equipment, and handle hose lines up to 400’ Thorough: Notices issues and addresses them — not “spray and go” Communicative: Keeps the team informed, uses group chat and systems effectively, and knows when to solve independently vs. when to escalate Ambitious: Wants long-term growth into leadership roles Process-Driven: Open to following proven systems and standards, even if they differ from past experience Compensation Get paid weekly w/ direct deposit Pay Progression (Performance-Based Advancement): Advancement is based on performance, quality of work, reliability, and ability to operate independently. Most team members can make it to Technician within their first 6-12 months, depending on performance and past experience. Trainee: $15/hour (first 30 days) Probation: $17/hour (31-90 days) Applicator: $19/hour (After probation) Technician: $21/hour (Demonstrated mastery) Team Lead: $23/hour (Help develop & train the next generation of technicians, working toward your PCO license) Field Manager: $25/hour (Have PCO license, responsible for team training, customer escalations, quality control, scheduling, and production targets) We do not push high-pressure sales. However, technicians are expected to correctly identify issues and recommend solutions when appropriate. When done correctly, this creates additional income through commissions on completed services—without requiring high-pressure sales. Our service area includes: Hwy 27 from Davenport to Minneola; Hwy 50 (Colonial) from Mascote to Winter Garden; and I-429 from Apopka to S.W. Orlando.
