Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a 3-6 years PAE Lawyer to join our Dispute Resolution team in Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic disputes and advisory team working alongside highly regarded partners across commercial disputes, professional indemnity, succession law, elder law, regulatory and administrative law, and construction-related litigation.

You will be exposed to a broad variety of matters including:

  • Commercial and corporate disputes, including insolvency, shareholder disputes and negligence claims against professionals.
  • Succession law, estate planning and litigation, including wills, trusts, elder law disputes, guardianship and financial management orders.
  • Regulatory and administrative law, including investigations, complaints management, and review of government and regulatory decisions.
  • Complex litigation involving corporate governance, contractual disputes, and construction and strata-related matters.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders and development as a well-rounded disputes and advisory lawyer.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3-6 years PAE in commercial disputes, litigation or related practice area.
  • Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with clients and other stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm to contribute to a supportive team environment.
