Description

LAWYER | EMPLOYMENT 2+ PQE

LegalVision is a market disruptor in the commercial legal services industry. Our innovative business model and custom-built technology allow our lawyers to provide a faster, better quality and more cost-effective client experience. LegalVision is a leader in delivering legal services in Australia and has assisted more than 150,000 businesses across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. We were named an Employer of Choice by Australasian Lawyer in 2020, one of Lawyers Weekly’s Top 25 Attraction Firms in 2021, and Law Firm of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards in 2021 and 2022.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a 2+ PQE Australian-qualified lawyer to join our Employment practice. In this fast-paced role, you’ll be working across a broad range of employment law matters to help clients anticipate, manage and resolve legal issues. Our team services businesses of all sizes, from small and medium-sized businesses and startups to large enterprises. We focus on providing efficient, cost-effective and quality advice through our innovative subscription model.
The successful candidate will demonstrate technical capability in employment law, effective project management and client service skills, and a genuine interest in contributing to LegalVision’s growth in the Australian market.
This is an opportunity to practice law differently - without the inflexibility, micromanagement and facetime of traditional law firms - whilst continuing to work on challenging matters with interesting clients. You’ll enjoy the benefits of autonomy and flexibility, whilst working alongside legal experts who genuinely care about and are invested in your professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Providing general advice on non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Reviewing, drafting and updating standard employment documents such as contracts of employment, settlement agreements and staff handbooks.
  • Supporting clients and advising on recruitment, onboarding, application of their internal policies and employee terminations.
  • Managing employment litigation matters and external counsel where necessary.
