SASMAR is seeking a dedicated and experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. We are a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in personal care and fertility products with a global presence in Malta, Sydney, Brussels, Hong Kong, Mumbai, London, and Chicago. As part of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across various areas, ensuring compliance, managing contracts, and advising on regulatory matters. Your expertise will help drive our business forward while mitigating legal risks. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice and support to various departments regarding contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the jurisdictions we operate in. Assist in managing corporate legal matters, including intellectual property, data protection, and employment law issues. Collaborate with external legal advisors as necessary. Identify potential legal risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Support internal investigations and dispute resolution processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices. Law degree (LLB, JD) from a recognized institution. Admission to the bar and eligibility to practice law. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as legal counsel or in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector. Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus. Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
