REQUIREMENTS:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Equivalent.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in Personal injury or related field.
  • Defence experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion when dealing with sensitive legal matters.
Responsibilities
  • Managing personal injury cases independently in collaboration with senior lawyers, including case strategy, and negotiations.
  • Interviewing clients, witnesses, and other involved parties to gather relevant information for cases.
  • Conducting thorough case investigations to build a strong foundation for legal proceedings.
  • Analyzing and interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations to provide accurate legal advice to clients.
  • Attending court hearings, discoveries, and mediations to represent clients and present arguments effectively.
  • Collaborating with the legal team to strategize and formulate legal approaches for various cases.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of personal injury laws and staying informed about any changes or developments in the field.
  • Negotiating with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure favourable settlements for clients.
