ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year and up to 3 years’ PAE, with a genuine passion and interest in the areas of litigation and insurance law. Your previous experience will include some exposure to advocacy work and you will have a keen desire to continue developing this skill.
Our clients are at the heart of all that we do, so we are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a strong client service focus and a commercial approach to all dealings.

Some of the other skills, qualities and attributes we are looking for include:

• Excellent verbal and written communication, including well-developed Plain English writing skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Self-confidence, initiative and a commitment to ongoing learning and development in this area of practice

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Lawyer to join our public liability practice group on a permanent, full-time basis.

Working directly with a Partner who has a passion for training and mentorship, this hands-on role will see you working alongside other lawyers in the wider group on a variety of matters involving public liability, catastrophic injury, property and industrial special risks, class actions and alternative dispute resolution, with a particular focus on:

• Property damage defence claims
• Property damage recoveries claims
• Marine law claims
• Personal injury defence claims.

This practice regularly acts on behalf of insurers and private entities in complex and technical proceedings predominantly in the telecommunications and marine insurance spheres.
