We have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer to Associate to join our Commercial Insurance team in Brisbane working with Mark Sainsbury and Jason Fletcher.

About the team and the work

• The team defend professional indemnity and public liability claims across a range of industries, with a particular focus on defending claims within the financial, construction, healthcare, and aviation areas.
• You will be defending claims across major lines of insurance with a focus on professional indemnity claims, property damage claims and commercial litigation.
• Clients include major Australian and London market insurers, self-insured entities, and individuals across a broad range of industries including construction, hospitality and leisure, aviation, banking & finance, and healthcare.
• You will have the opportunity to work alongside leading Australian insurance lawyers in a high performing, supportive, flexible, and collaborative team environment.

About you

• You will have 1+ years’ experience gained in a well-regarded Insurance practice.
• Experience defending professional indemnity and/or property liability claims is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Demonstrated ability to meet financial and time recording budgets.
