* Permanent full-time opportunity * Sydney based * Hybrid working model What’s the role? We are looking for a mid-level lawyer to join our Consumer legal team, supporting a broad portfolio across mortgages, everyday banking, credit cards and personal loans. This is a hands-on role working closely with business stakeholders and operational teams on a wide range of customer-facing legal matters. Key Responsibilities * Provide legal advice on day-to-day consumer banking matters across multiple product lines * Support the business in managing customer-related legal issues, including: * powers of attorney and third-party authorities * deceased estates * account access and disputes (including joint account/customer disputes) * settlements and discharge processes * Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and guidance materials * Identify legal risks and support the implementation of appropriate controls What do I need? * Admitted to practice as a solicitor in NSW * Minimum 4 years PQE in private practice or supporting a financial services business * Strong familiarity with consumer banking products and regulatory frameworks * Commercially minded with the ability to deliver clear, actionable legal advice * Ability to work in a fast paced environment * Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach Our Promise to You We’re obsessed with becoming our customers' #1 banking partner for life and we’re looking for people who are passionate about helping us achieve that goal.
