LB - Sr. Workday Application Engineer - Job2030 Summary We are hiring a senior Workday Application Engineer to design and build the foundational systems that feed finance at a fast-growing insurtech. This role will own Workday integrations, reporting, and end-to-end delivery for insurance-specific finance processes, working closely with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and Technology. This is an opportunity to shape integration standards, resolve complex insurance finance data issues, and deliver practical, production-ready solutions using Workday integration and reporting tools while supporting rapid company growth. Responsibilities Design and build Workday ERP integrations for claims management, billing, cash, actuarial systems, and reinsurance. Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for Workday finance modules. Configure and support integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and Workday APIs. Define data mappings, transformation rules, validation logic, and reconciliation processes for insurance finance flows. Identify and resolve data quality and interface issues common to premiums, claims, reserves, billing, commissions, cash application, and reinsurance accounting. Build, maintain, and validate Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Worksheets) focused on insurance finance metrics. Produce clear documentation: process flows, functional specifications, and user guides. Lead testing, UAT, deployment, and provide post-go-live support and iterative improvements. Coach finance teams on new Workday processes and drive user adoption and change management. Act as a hands-on bridge between Finance, Technology, Actuarial, and external vendors to translate requirements into working solutions. Requirements Senior-level experience delivering Workday reports and integrations end-to-end. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and Workday APIs. Proven ability to build and validate Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Worksheets) and define calculated fields and reporting logic. Practical understanding of insurance finance processes or ability to learn quickly: premiums, claims, reserves, billing, commissions, reinsurance, and general ledger entry. Strong collaboration skills with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, Product, and external partners to deliver high-quality outcomes. Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements for ERP/finance systems. Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end delivery including configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support. Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical and insurance finance concepts to executive stakeholders. Self-directed, pragmatic, delivery-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment. Nice to Have Experience helping set up or scale finance systems in a growth-stage company. Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Adaptive Planning. Prior experience with insurance-specific interfaces and processes such as bordereaux, receivables, or claims.
