LBM Interior Solutions Specialist  Location: Fort Wayne, IN  Level: Salaried  Division / Department: Lumber & Building Materials / LBM Purchasing  Reports to: Division Manager, LBM Purchasing  Travel: Approximately 50%   About the Role:  The LBM Interior Solutions Specialist drives sales growth and dealer success across interior product categories, with a primary focus on kitchen & bath and flooring.  This role works directly with dealers to increase revenue, improve close rates, expand category offerings; positioning dealers as the go-to destination in their markets for cabinetry, vanities, and interior solutions.   Serving as the subject matter expert in the kitchen & bath, the Specialist works closely with dealers to strengthen selling strategies, enhance showroom performance, and capitalize on opportunities in both remodel and new construction segments. This role also partners closely with vendor partners to support sales initiatives, drive program participation, and ensure dealers have access to competitive, on-trend product offerings. A key focus for this role is expanding the adoption of existing programs while identifying opportunities to increase dealer participation and overall sales performance.  Success in this role requires a balance of field engagement and strategic planning, with accountability for program adoption, showroom execution, vendor collaboration, and measurable sales results. This position is approximately 50% field-based and 50% office-based, requiring regular travel to dealer locations along with time dedicated to planning, coordination, and internal alignment.  Responsibilities include:  * Drive sales growth in kitchen, bath, and interior solutions by partnering directly with dealers to improve selling effectiveness and close rates  * Serve as the primary resource for dealers on selling cabinets, vanities, and complete interior solutions for remodel and new construction projects  * Actively promote and expand adoption of interior solutions programs, ensuring dealers understand the value proposition and effective utilization  * Develop and roll out an enhanced dealer facing mass communication platform (such as newsletters, podcasts, and training seminars) for the Interior Solutions department  * Participate in showroom design and reset projects from concept through execution, including layout planning, product selection, vendor coordination, and implementation timelines.  * Apply project management discipline to ensure showroom initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with sales objectives.  * Identify operational or merchandising challenges within dealer showrooms and develop practical, solution-oriented action plans to improve performance.  * Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners to align on sales initiatives, promotions, and support for showroom and program execution.  * Identify gaps in the market and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to bring forward solutions that drive incremental sales.  * Partner with LBM Sales to align on growth strategies and ensure consistent execution across the network.  * Support member education by helping create and facilitate training focused on selling skills, product application, showroom execution, and best practices for growing interior solutions sales.  * Engage directly with dealers to understand their business challenges and provide practical, actionable solutions that improve results.  * Incorporate and maintain accurate dealer activity, contacts and sales updates into CRM tool  * Track program adoption and performance to measure impact and drive accountability  * Maintain active membership in National Kitchen and Bath Dealers Association (NKBDA), participate in NKBDA training and events, and attend annual KBIS industry trade show  Education and Experience:  * Functional knowledge of kitchen and bath products and how they are sold  * Experience in product development and sales   * General understanding of the retail Lumber and Building Materials industry  Skills and Abilities:  * Strong sales acumen and communication skills   * Excellent relationship-building skills across dealers, vendors and internal partners  * Demonstrated curiosity and aptitude toward new products and emerging trends  * Self-starter with the ability to lead initiatives and deliver results with limited direction  * Effective at managing multiple projects from concept to completion  Benefits available to you:  * Full insurance benefits package including Medical, Dental, & Vision  * Paid time off to foster work/life balance  * Profit sharing  * Bonus Pay opportunities  * Retirement funding opportunities  * Education reimbursement  * Health club reimbursement  * Career advancement opportunities    About Do it Best Group  Headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN, the Do it Best Group is the world's largest hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.
