  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – higher qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Export Operator – LCL (NVOCC) is responsible for handling day-to-day export operations for Less-than-Container Load (LCL) shipments. The role requires managing bookings, coordinating with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and service providers to ensure shipments are moved accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with international trade regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the end-to-end export process for LCL shipments.
  • Arrange and confirm bookings with carriers, co-loaders, and consolidators.
  • Prepare and issue documentation including bills of lading, manifests, export declarations, and certificates.
  • Liaise with customers, overseas offices/agents, and suppliers to ensure timely flow of information.
  • Track and monitor cargo movements, updating internal systems and customers accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures.
  • Handle invoicing, costing, and file closing in line with company standards.
  • Support problem-solving and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with carriers, hauliers, depots, and warehouses.
  • Contribute to service quality improvements and operational efficiency.
