Description LCMS Bioanalysis Intern – Marlborough, MA About the Opportunity Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to serve as a Paid Laboratory Intern within the LCMS Bioanalytical Department of Meadowhawk Biolabs, Inc. at our Marlborough, MA location. This position provides applicants with a great opportunity to gain initial, hands-on Laboratory experience and exposure to the exciting Life Sciences industry. Our ideal candidate is driven, curious, and hardworking with a genuine interest in learning and working in a fast paced, collaborative team environment. We are considering applicants on a part-time basis (15-20hrs) for this position; schedules have flexibility within reasonableness. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Working under close direction, and in compliance with defined procedures, perform a wide variety of technical laboratory operational tasks and activities, including but not limited to: · Study material receipt, storage, management and disposition · Consumables receipt, storage, distribution and inventory management · Biological and chemical waste collection and storage · Labware cleaning · Basic chemical solution preparations · Preparation of biological samples for analysis · Maintain organization of laboratory operational areas · Other clearly defined duties as assigned Minimum Education and Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent and pursuing a post-secondary degree in the sciences. No prior laboratory experience required. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above. Skills: · Highly organized and detail-oriented · Adapts readily, willingly, and effectively to changes in assignments and priorities · Able to multitask and independently manage time to maximize productivity · Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills · Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Personal Attributes: In addition to the attributes described above, the ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, open-minded, self-aware, flexible, persistent and optimistic in the face of challenges and uncertainty, and willing to make decisions and take ownership for assigned responsibilities.
