Job title: LCMS Specialist
Location: Oranmore, Galway
We are seeking an experienced LCMS Specialist to join our team in a permanent capacity.
To undertake the chemical analyses of veterinary residues and environmental contaminants in farmed fish/seafood at laboratories using various instrument such as LCMSMS, GC-MS.
To assist in method development and validation of appropriate analytical methodologies in accordance with the quality system (ISO 17025) and to comply with EU legislation.
To carry out the troubleshooting of analytical methods and instruments where necessary in accordance with the quality system.
Prepare and assist in the preparation of reports as directed.
Implementing legally defensible sampling programme at harvest and other stages of production. This involves on site work up of samples and maintaining a strict chain of custody.
Sampling and subsampling of finfish samples and ensure that sampling targets are met.
Assist where appropriate in follow up investigations.
Liaise with approved 3rd party laboratories and assist in sending samples for subcontract analysis to various approved laboratories.
Assist Residue programme coordinator in reporting, data management and other programme tasks as relevant.
