Title: LCV EUCOM Poland: HVAC Mechanic Program Summary KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). Job Summary The HVAC Technician supports facilities' mechanical and HVAC asset visibility, condition assessment execution, and sustainment requirements. Operate, maintain and repair site HVAC systems including: air-cooled chillers, direct exchange units, air handling units, filters and chemical biological filters (if applicable), ductwork, dampers, actuators, fans, cold water lines, heating and cooling units, fan coil units, electric reheats, diffusers, vents, variable air volume (VAV) boxes, exhaust fans, supply fans, smoke exhaust fans, fresh air ducts, control valves, cooling coils and ventilation systems for laundry rooms, kitchens and rest rooms. Roles and Responsibilities • Perform comprehensive HVAC installation, service, and repair on residential, commercial, and industrial systems, split units, air handlers, rooftop units, exhaust fans, and window/packaged A/C units. • Conduct advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration components, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to restore optimal system performance. • Complete refrigerant recovery, recycling, and reclaiming procedures in strict compliance with EPA Section 608 standards. • Install and calibrate thermostats, motors, compressors, fans, belts, pulleys, relays, and control boards according to manufacturer specifications and site requirements. • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including coil cleaning, filter replacement, lubrication, leak detection, pressure testing, and system performance verification. • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction plans to support accurate installations and repairs. • Responded promptly to service calls, assessing system conditions and providing detailed recommendations for repairs, replacements, or upgrades. • Documented all maintenance activities, service reports, parts usage, refrigerant tracking logs, and operational testing results for compliance and record-keeping. • Ensure full adherence to workplace safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental standards. • Collaborate with foremen, engineers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to support project execution and system commissioning. • Assist in evaluating HVAC equipment performance and recommending energy-efficient solutions and system improvements. • Maintain readiness to work in extreme or hazardous environments, confined spaces, elevated structures, and outside normal working hours as required. • Stay up to date with advancements in HVAC technology, digital diagnostic tools, variable speed systems, and updated codes and regulations. • Identify inventory/assessment discrepancies and correct within required timelines • Maintain KBR’s Zero Harm Initiative, ensuring a safe workplace and that safety is the highest priority. • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. • Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) • Must be Fluency in Polish • Must possess an unrestricted right to work and reside in Poland. • Must have a current Driver's License. • Must possess F-Gas Certificate. Every refrigeration equipment installer should hold the appropriate certification, most importantly, the F-Gas certificate. This document confirms the specialist’s expertise and knowledge of regulations regarding the safe installation and operation of systems containing fluorinated gases. • Welding/Soldering Certification: Certifications for soft/hard soldering (important for copper piping in refrigeration • SEP G1 Electrical License (Uprawnienia SEP G1): Required for working with electrical equipment, installations, and networks up to 1 kV (low voltage). • Intermediate English proficiency: Ability to communicate effectively in speaking, reading, and writing • Graduate of recognized HVAC trade school with 2 years experience, or minimum 5 years HVAC experience • Valid EPA Section 608 Universal Certification • Authorized to handle refrigerants and HVAC systems per federal regulation KBR — Delivering Solutions, Changing the World.
