POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Accountant to oversee and manage the financial reporting and accounting operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and facilitating efficient financial processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on lead or supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Proficient in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 4 accounting professionals
  • Providing guidance and support in daily operations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, maintaining efficient cash flow management.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights.
  • Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and oversee tax filings.
