The Role: As a Lead AI Governance Consultant you will be designing the governance frameworks and risk management policies that allow our AI Deployment Architects to build safely. The Work You’ll Do: Engagement Leadership: Collaborate with senior executives and process owners to define their Responsible AI goals. You will act as the primary point of contact for governance escalations and regulatory roadblocks, ensuring that compliance milestones are met on time. Manage the governance engagement lifecycle, ensuring accurate reporting on risk posture and project health within the Celonis Professional Services ecosystem. Risk Assessment: Lead Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments (FRIA) and Conformity Assessments for high-stakes customer use cases, identifying risks related to bias, data privacy, and hallucination. Governance Framework Design: Help customers establish their own AI Management Systems (AIMS), defining the policies, roles, and responsibilities needed to govern AI at scale. Algorithmic Auditing: Oversee third-party or internal audits of AI models to ensure they meet ethical standards before they go live (e.g., checking for discriminatory bias in hiring models). Strategic Advisory: Advise C-level stakeholders (Chief Risk Officers, DPOs) on the regulatory roadmap, helping them navigate the complex landscape of AI compliance. Enablement & Culture: Develop and deliver "Responsible AI" training for internal consultants and customer teams, fostering a culture of "Compliance-by-Design." The preferred qualifications you need: Background: 5+ years in Tech Policy, IT Risk Management, Legal/Compliance, or Technology Consulting. Program Management: Ability to manage complex governance programs, coordinating between technical data scientists, legal counsel, and business owners. Framework Fluency: Deep knowledge of AI Governance frameworks and standards Legislation: Strong understanding of the EU AI Act and GDPR, with the ability to interpret how these laws apply to B2B software and Process Intelligence. Communication: Exceptional ability to explain "AI Risk" to non-technical stakeholders without using jargon. Master’s degree or PhD in Law, Political Science, or a related field (e.g., Science & Technology Studies). Bonus: Certifications in Privacy (CIPP/E) or AI Governance (e.g., AIGP).
