The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $103,939 to $135,830
Job Summary
Responsible for development of analyses and business processes to provide Senior Management an accurate assessment of the revenue requirements necessary to maintain or improve corporate earnings for United Illuminating, Connecticut Natural Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas, and Berkshire Gas. In addition, this position requires the holder to formulate and assess various regulatory strategies that maintain or improve regulatory earnings that are consistent with existing State regulatory policies and accounting principles. This position is critical to the financial health of the Corporation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare various regulatory filings across all Avangrid Networks jurisdictions, with a particular focus on CT and MA. Examples of such filings include Rate of Return, Rate Base, Ratios Report, Dividend Payout Ratio, FERC Form 1, FERC Form 2, FERC Form 60, Earnings Sharing, deferral calculations and compliance filings.
  • Provide support for Avangrid Networks rate case filings including determination of revenue requirements and rate base and depreciation schedules and assisting with pre-filed exhibits and preparation of data responses to discovery.
  • Perform financial analysis as required for Avangrid Networks Companies in CT and MA to determine reasons for actual results variances compared to PURA allowed amounts in rates.
  • Prepare and maintain complex and sophisticated forecasting models for Avangrid Networks Companies in CT and MA to determine the future need for new rates.
  • Maintain historical data set of Avangrid Networks Companies in CT and MA for various financial information including ROE, rate base, equity ratio
  • Support regulatory research projects as required across all Avangrid Networks Companies
  • Support special projects with department expertise as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Business Administration or equivalent major and at least 8 years related experience. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment and operating company business process preferred.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel Office product desirable.
  • Strong background with SAP preferred.
