Schedule: Full-time (40) Shift: Day; Monday- Friday; five 8-hour shifts. On call required. Location: 2525 S DOWNING ST, Denver, 80210 The role you’ll contribute: Responsible for assisting in the supervision of Anesthesia Technicians and supporting patient care delivery under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This position attends Anesthesia section meetings and acts as a liaison between Anesthesia Technicians. Additionally, this role oversees the implementation of new equipment, transitions to new products and processes, and facilitates the re-organization of OR supplies. In addition, this position maintains active communication with Biomed for equipment issues, conducts training and orientation for new team members, and coordinates the flow of supplies, equipment, and instruments between all Anesthesia sites, SPD, and the Anesthesia department. Performs tests, maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, and cleaning of anesthesia equipment, orders, stocks, and maintains supplies and applicable medications, and serves as a resource for other members of the Anesthesia and Surgery teams. The value you’ll bring to the team: Assists in positioning, lifting, and restraining patients using appropriate safety precautions and body mechanics. Informs the appropriate nurse of requests, problems, or concerns relating to the patient or perioperative environment. Provides for the patients’ needs based on diagnosis, age, and cultural background, including patients of all ages from newborns to geriatric population. Assists anesthesiologist in setting up and securing intravenous and/or intra-arterial lines and pressure transducers. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Required qualifications: High School Grad or Equiv Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Preferred qualifications: Technical/Vocational School 2+ Work Experience Certified Anesthesia Technician (CERAT) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)
