What is the Internal WWT IT Team, and why join?

What you will be doing as a member of our IT INFOPS Platform Engineering team:

• Model, design, and frame technology solutions that are meaningful and impact critical Platform Engineering processes and/or decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, data engineers, architects, data scientists, and other domain experts to match technical solutions to stated platform engineering business problems.
• Ensure clarity around technical, business, and non-functional requirements for project clarity and execution. Validate deliverables and adherence to architectural design.
• Research and evaluate sources of information to determine any limitations in quality, reliability, performance, and usability of IT systems.
• Maintain company data quality standards by actively evaluating data processing for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, consistency, and validity.
• Build relationships with business and development teams. Provide timely coaching and mentorship as we continue our system maturation. Communicate with key stakeholders to solicit feedback and input on potential system improvements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering with proven ability to influence and implement new solutions
• A strong understanding of platform engineering processes, including infrastructure automation, container orchestration, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Experience with data privacy and security regulations relevant to infrastructure and operations.
• Knowledge of scaling large data storage and processing, queues/pipeline processing.
• Familiarity with basic principles of distributed computing and/or distributed databases.
• Familiarity with various database technologies such as Oracle RDBMS, Postgres RDBMS, MongoDB
• Understanding of reporting and analytical software such as Webfocus, Power BI, Tableau, Oracle EPM, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Oracle modules and supporting analytics modules.
• Experience with infrastructure and platform management systems like OpenShift Kubernetes, Oracle Database/Exadata, Oracle SOA, and IBM WebMethods
• Understanding and experience with data extraction (ETL) methodologies and tools
• Experience with low-code or no-code solutions and platforms.
• Experience with data integration and data mapping tools.
• Experience with REST-based APIs, data streaming, and various data integration methods.
• Experience collaborating with clients to solve complex problems
