We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer with expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to join our growing team. You will play a key role in shaping digital commerce solutions for our clients, owning technical design and implementation, and serving as a mentor and technical resource to other engineers. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for SFCC projects, including solution design, platform governance, and best practices.
• Architect and implement secure, API-first, headless storefronts using Salesforce Composable Storefront.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Composable Storefronts on Salesforce Managed Runtime, ensuring secure and scalable operations.
• Mentor, coach, and support the professional development of engineering team members, contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
• Conduct gap analysis between business needs and SFCC platform capabilities, designing customizations and configurations as needed.
• Develop and validate technical approaches, utilizing proofs-of-concept and spike solutions to de-risk delivery and ensure client satisfaction.
• Identify and document system dependencies, third-party integrations, and data flows.
• Design for reliability, including failover, graceful degradation, and service continuity strategies.
• Prepare estimates, identify risks, and recommend solutions to improve project delivery and time to market.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues in SFCC implementations, ensuring high client satisfaction and system health.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience with modern technologies.
• Proven experience with headless and composable commerce architectures.
• Experience with PWA Kit, Managed Runtime environments, deployment workflows, and web application hosting best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in a consulting environment, with client-facing responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in React.js (universal apps), Node.js/Express.js, ES6+
• Knowledge of order management lifecycle, architecture diagrams, and system data flows.
• Ability to foster a culture of quality, security, scalability, and performance within the engineering team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The US-based salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$150,000 per year.
