Description This is a working leadership position as an assembly technician in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining stock levels in order to ship a quality product as required by the Production Schedule. Qualifications: The lead assembly technician will be required to assemble units as laid out in design drawings and instructed by production supervisors and group leaders. Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable with the use of hand tools, machines and other equipment. The applicant must be detail oriented and have organization and time management skills. Excellent judgement, decision-making and leadership capabilities are required. Knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations is a plus. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Must follow all safety policies and procedures. Maintain material supply and inform supervisor of needed supplies or equipment. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Good communications skills relative to supervisors and other related departments. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Ability to lift 50 pounds; push, pull and work with similarly weighted items. Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, bending, and overhead. Ability to climb and work from scaffolding or a step ladder. Minimal computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office. Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly.
