LIVE What you will do As Lead Automation Technician / Engineer, you work closely with our Maintenance Technicians and act as the automation expert during your shift. You play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the automation systems supporting our packaging operations. You troubleshoot complex technical issues, provide expert guidance to technicians, and help ensure our automated systems continue to operate safely and efficiently within our GMP-regulated production environment. You enjoy solving technical challenges, sharing knowledge with colleagues, and continuously improving systems and processes. Through your work, you directly contribute to reliable production processes that enable the timely delivery of medicines to patients worldwide. In this role, you will: Act as the automation expert on shift, leading advanced troubleshooting for mechatronics, PLC, SCADA and HMI systems. Serve as the first escalation point for complex automation-related issues. Quickly resolve technical problems to minimize downtime and support reliable packaging operations. Coach and mentor technicians, helping them strengthen their knowledge of automation and mechatronics. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Technology teams and external vendors to resolve issues and implement improvements. Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical projects that increase system reliability and efficiency. The Automation Engineer we seek brings the following: MBO+ degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role within a GMP-regulated or high-tech production environment. Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems such as PLCs, SCADA and HMI. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments. Ability to train, mentor and coach technicians in automation and mechatronics topics. Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken). Work in shift roster.
