Description: The Lead, Avionics R&E Technician is responsible to his or her respective department supervisor for all functions assigned to provide airworthiness of the aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the facility What you will be responsible for: • Being available for consultation on matters relating to work being accomplished on his or her assigned aircraft. • Ensuring all required paperwork is satisfactorily completed and signed and comply with all existing regulations and procedures. • Ensuring all equipment is properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect the customers’ aircraft and equipment. • Monitoring and reporting to supervisors the work of personnel under his or her responsibility for proper work performance, productivity, quality and personnel safety. • Assisting supervisors as requested in reviewing personnel for job qualifications and status and for maximizing manpower. • Performing on the job training for personnel. • Providing guidance and technical advice to assigned technicians. • Coordinating with other appropriate departments to organize and control the customers’ work package and any special considerations. • All other duties as assigned. What you will need to be successful in this role: • This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as a refugee or granted asylum). • Associates degree AA or equivalent from two year college or technical school or four (4) years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. • High school diploma or general education degree GED required. • Must have an FAA A&P License, FCC license or hold a Repairman Certificate, an FCC certificate, or a Radio Repairman Operator certificate as applicable to the work they are overseeing. • Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing).
