As a Lead AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will oversee and build cloud infrastructure that powers mission-critical platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and high performance. You will lead a geographically distributed team of engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance while remaining hands-on in designing and implementing solutions. This role involves end-to-end ownership of cloud environments, from infrastructure as code to monitoring and incident response. The position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment where milliseconds matter, impacting systems that process thousands of requests per second. You will drive continuous improvement and best practices across cloud architecture, DevOps processes, and observability. Accountabilities: · Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for critical business platforms using best practices. · Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of senior and mid-level engineers across multiple locations. · Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and manage complex cloud environments. · Ensure system reliability and stability through monitoring, alerts, dashboards, and proactive incident response. · Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable, efficient solutions that meet business objectives. · Diagnose and resolve issues in production systems and support SaaS-based operations. · Drive adoption of CI/CD best practices and support frequent production releases. · 7+ years of professional DevOps experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud services. · 3+ years of experience leading technical teams or managing projects. · 5+ years working with modern CI/CD technologies such as GitLab or GitHub. · 3+ years hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes or Amazon EKS) in production environments. · 3+ years of experience using Terraform in large-scale setups. · Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. · Proficiency with Agile project delivery methodologies. · Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Desired Qualifications: · Experience integrating monitoring tools into application support (e.g., Datadog or equivalent). · Familiarity with distributed cloud deployments (multi-region or multi-cloud). · Relevant certifications, including AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Terraform Associate, or Certified DevOps Developer – Master (CDCD-001). · Competitive salary with potential for performance-based bonuses. · Remote work with flexibility across multiple North American locations. · Health, dental, and vision insurance. · Opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and leadership development. · Participation in cutting-edge cloud infrastructure projects and high-traffic environments.
