Job Purpose Manufactures various cake products in accordance with designated specifications; performs various job tasks of a repetitive nature in accordance with product type and production requirements; conforms to Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by company policy. Essential Functions • Follows food safety and personnel safety procedures as outlined by company policy • Maintains regular throughput of product to the production line • Keeps constant communication with Finishing leads and supervisor. • Responsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policies • Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices • Understands product specification and makes routine checks to verify equipment performance; adjusts equipment as needed. * Monitors equipment performance and reports damaged or faulty equipment to supervisor. o Directs or can operate batter depositors and various continuous mixing systems. o Directs or can operate automatic oven loading equipment; loads and unloads oven manually as required. • Inspects pans for cleanliness and notifies supervisor when deficiencies are observed. o Directs or can monitor proper operation of pan greasing unit o Inspects pans for proper grease coverage • Operates pallet strapping equipment and is certified on fork truck operation. • Trains team members on all equipment operation in Department. • Understands and can operate WMS and Infinity systems. • Performs quality check audits on baking Team Members • Provides feedback to shift supervisor on members of his/her team. • Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements. • Back up for this position is other Lead Baker and Production Lead. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications (Education/Experience) • High School diploma or equivalent o Basic Math skills o Must be able to read and write English o Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun o Operate scales and measuring devices. • Demonstrates manual dexterity o Ability to perform repetitive motions on a regular basis • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using both hands, frequent bending/stooping with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 100 lbs. • Ability to work over 40 hours per week & 8 hours per day - ability to work overtime is required • Must be able to stand for a full shift • Must be able to work in a hot environment. • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
